I was reading the April Shutterbug magazine, I noticed a "new" feature, they are offering to print an image of the best submitted on a "Theme."  the foirst one is wide angle lenses and panroama.  You might check out the Apriol edition if you submit to those type of offers.  I don't recall any cash or other prizes...
