Simonwide: Thanks for your offer to assist me. I have a few questions to start of with, all of which will demonstrate my inexperience with medium format. 1. how do I open the 624 to put film in?at each end of body silver list sprinGs, crude but useful. pry upward over pin. best if done together, gentle lift. surprise! return to position dang near sel,f latching. 2. Is the focusing knob set in feet or meters?         i can't see your camera. put on tripod and focus on something ten feet away, measured. ok, if scale comes up 3, it's meters AND/IF focal legth was purchased with camera, it's still MAYBE.    THREE MAIN DISTANCES YOU NEED ARE HYPERFOCALM DISTANCE AND TEN FEET. YOU MARK EM.that's two but infinity is sometimes useful..... 3.On top of the 624 is a bracket intended for some piece of equipment to slide-in. It is not for the viewfinder as the camera already has one so what could this bracket be intended for? DON'T
LAUGH. FLASH WHICH MEANS STROBE.
  4. On the front of the camera (on one side) is a bracket with a hole and a screw. What is that for?PUT THAT AREA ON SCANNER. I'LL  LOOK.5. On the back of the camera there is a sliding plate. I assume that this plate is used to cover the round window (that shows the picture number on the film?) while shooting?SLIDING PLATE IS GROUND GLASS. PULL OUT AND HAVE A LOOK. 6. My 624 does not have a ground glass (for composition & focusing). Do you know where I could get one?BETCHA IT DOES OR HAVE YOU USED CAMERA. CUT ON FOR YOURSELF OR PLASTIC TO FIT SPACE.Thanks for taking the time to help me.     STEVE- WHERE BE YA? I'M IN NJ USA. GOOD CAMERA AND CRUDE PLANNING.ah, 215...philly Best Regards - Steve Blumenthal blumn@xxxxxxxxx215-639-0452
