Toy Story
I just got back from a special screening of "Toy Story" at the El Capitan
Theater. It was SPAECTACULAR. I am picky with movies(I did not like Lion
King nor did I even bother to see Pocahontas), but this movie blew me away.
After the movie I went down stairs to see the behind the scenes stuff that
was on display. They had a setup of what a typical animators desk looked
like. On the desk was a computer, and a VIEW-MASTER viewer. It was roped
off, but I asked a security guard to let me look at the V-M, which they did.
It had some shots from the movie.
Then I went to the Toy Story funhouse next to the El Capitan. In it they
have people dressed up like characters from the movie. My favorite were the
life size plastic army men. I took lots of stereo photos of it and will
hopefully have some of them up at my web site by the end of the month.
They had one of those (imposible to win) grab at toys with a giant claw
games. Inside it were toys from the movie and a few other things. What did
I relentlessly go after with that evil (no grip) claw you ask,... The "Toy
Story" VIEW-MASTER boxed set with standard viewer. I of course was not
successfull, as I said the thing was evil.
