Interpolation of stereo views?

I seem to remember that at the NSA convention in Milwaukee, Kodak was
presenting a system to take the left and right halves of a stereo view
and interpolate some number of views in between them, for purposes of
making lenticular displays. Can anybody point me toward a research paper
or patent or some other source of info on this project, or even some
names of people to contact? Actually, it doesn't have to be the Kodak
folks -- I'm just interested in info about this sort of project.
I do have this address as a starting point:

Kodak Depth Imaging Team
Eastman Kodak Co.

U.S.A.
Back-lit lenticular displays of photos and computer images.
