Interpolation of stereo views?

I seem to remember that at the NSA convention in Milwaukee, Kodak was
presenting a system to take the left and right halves of a stereo view
and interpolate some number of views in between them, for purposes of
making lenticular displays.  Can anybody point me toward a research paper
or patent or some other source of info on this project, or even some
names of people to contact?  Actually, it doesn't have to be the Kodak
folks -- I'm just interested in info about this sort of project.
