3-D Beatles, et al
Yes,
THE BEATLES...ELVIS...JFK
The 3-D Baby Boomer's Holy (or UnHoly, depending on your
perspective) Grails.
JFK IS featured distantly on a NASA reel and, of course, on
the JFK in Ireland reel (another Holy Relic). He was the
icon of the dusk of Populuxe and the dawn of the Space Age
and Stereography was certainly still popular in the early
60's
No 3-D Elvis sightings, though enough pix and movie clips
exist to piece together a stereo pair. He popped up shortly
after the Stereo fad began, though in the deep south. He
was not so well known in the costal cities, where the
cameras were more common. Of course, there is the LATER, LAS
VEGAS ELVIS, you know, the one who lost out in the postage
stamp contest. Imagine, all that jumpsuited girth and
stagelit rhinestones occupying stereo space :-) .
The Fab Four...now SOMEONE in NY or some other major US city
must'a lugged a stereo camera along to a concert or
press conference during the early 60's- if they could put up
with the shrieking pre-teen girls all around them. Again,
perhaps early motor-drive camera (?) and movie clips would
do the job.
yessir...I most certainly wouldn't mind having shots of
the above and I know collectors other than Ms. Pinsky who'd
fiercly covet them as well.
Takin' Care 'O Business,
LS
PS: NOW, if we ever get clear, stereo shots of a UFO, we
could look closely in the windows for a glimpse of The King.
