All I want for Christmas is.....

I have been viewing the messages for about a month now and am impressed with
the number of design/engineer activity. I'm more into the image artistic
side of
3D. (is that left-brain or right-brain? I forget). Actually I remember
everything I ever
saw or heard....I just can't recall half of it....it's in there somewhere.
Which proves
that minds are very similar to offices, desks, and filing cabinets.

Anyway, being primarily into 2x2x2 , for Christmas I want:

1) A Kodak carousel projector with one bulb, a beam splitter for the light,
and two
slide registers opposite each other. A 140 slide tray could hold 70 left
images and 70 right images . Two zoom lenses. What a wonderful world it would
be.

2) A second carousel like #1 plus a dissolve control unit.

3) A computer that will run the dissolve control and up to six projectors for

wide screen presentations (with quadraphonic surround digital sound of
course)

4) A panoramic beam splitter that will cause the horizontal left image to be
placed
on the top half of a 35mm frame and the right image to be placed on the
bottom
half of a 35mm frame.

5) Hand viewer and projector beam splitter for viewing and projecting images
made
with #4 above.

6) If #1 isn't possible, then how about a Bell & Howell "cube" type projector
that
will hold four cubes (2 lefts, 2 rights) with built in dissolve, working off
of two bulbs
that have light splitters.

Lastly, I saw the TOY STORY. It's absolutely fabulous. Wondering if they
can some
how phase shift the images to create real 3D. The superficial depth effect
is very
remarkable. The laser disc version of the movie will be a keeper.
