Slide Mounting

In answer to Dr D's query on slide mounting, I prefer to use the heat seal
mounts.
1. They're inexpensive, how often are you going to view the slide? If you
are going to enter the slide in competition or put it in a slide show to
project over and over again THEN it would be advisable to mount in a stronger
format. I personally feel lucky if I get a few pictures from a roll that I
would want to show anyone!
2. Easy to use. I use a roll of drafting masking tape, cut strips maybe
3/16 of an inch wide, to position the chips. Close the mount and stick in the
viewer, pull out and reposition until satisfactory and then run an iron over
the edges to seal.
3. No need to buy fancy labels, you can write on the mount itself.
Disadvantages: Only one window size, not reusable, tend to warp if stored
improperly.
Hope I've helped.
