Oh, come on, George! You of all people know perfectly well that there's a lot
more to slide mounting than just taking a film chip and shoving it into a mount.
A great deal of control over window placement and alignment takes place in
mounting, and there is also a lot for the novice to learn about the mechanics of
mounting in various kinds of mounts, particularly the more sophisticated ones
needed for competition entries. Oliver Dean, of the Stereo Club of Southern
California, holds mounting seminars a couple of times a year, and anyone sitting
near Charlie Piper, our resident curmudgeon, during a club competition will get
a seminar on mounting problems whether he wants it or not!
