3d picture of the Beatles??

I recently mentioned that there are some pictures of the
Beatles in the Life Magazine Beatles Reunion Special, which
can be viewed in 3D. - They were apparently taken with a
camera with a motor drive, which moved a little to the right
or left between shots. The effect is much better than what you
would expect to get from using adjoining frames of movie film,
because these are posed portraits, and the Beatles held fairly
still between shots. So that you can see what I'm talking
about, I've scanned in the best (for 3D) pair of pictures, and
uploaded them to my ftp directory. I did a little
manipulation to correct for some movement of McCartney's
eyebrows between shots, but otherwise did nothing to alter the
images.
There are 3 Beatles files in my directory: 3dbeatle.gif,
3dbeatxi.gif and 3dbeatrb.gif, which are wide-eyed, cross-eyed
and red-blue Anaglyph versions of these pictures.
To get these images, if you have an Internet shell account,
type:
ftp ftp.netcom.com
(Then log in as anonymous)
Then type: cd /pub/fj/fjf/
Then type: binary
Then type: get (followed by the name of the file you want)
Then type: bye
Then download to your own computer.
Hope some of you here will enjoy these pictures. I only wish
I had the original images to work with, so that the resolution
would be better.
