I'm not sure how regulated eyeglass-stuff is in the US or
other countries, but in Peru my friendly opthalmologist/
optometrist and my friendly eyeglass store will, the first
give me my eyesight-correction formulas for each eye on a
slip of paper, and the second will cut the proper formulas
to the dimensions I ask them for. I then rotate each lens
and find the astigmatism/angle by trial -since I've worked
in film for a long time I can do this with good (excellent,
IMHO) accuracy- and I glue the lenses smack on the viewfinder
optics. 

I only experienced trouble once with condensation between
the elements, but the again this is the tropics and sweat
and heat were the order of the day!
