This was posted recently (Palo Alto is a 1/2 drive from S.F.)):

Bob Bloomberg has just announced:

The annual meeting of the North Region of the Southwest (sic) portion
of NSA. Whatever it is it's fun, it's 3D, and it's in Palo Alto,
starting around 7P on January 6th.

This is the meeting that for severals years now has followed the
San Jose camera swap meet, sometimes being held at the fairgrounds,
more recently held in an obscure lecture hall at Stanford. (Obscure,
but with an excellent BIG silver screen, excellent AV equipment,
and a most cordial and 3D savvy medical school professor host.)

Since the hall is being earthquakeproofed we have found an alternate
spot. Hewlett-Packard is letting us use an auditorium in HP Bldg. 25
at 3500 Deer Creek Road in Palo Alto. Deer Creek Road is about a
half mile from Highway 280 and 3500 is about a half mile from
Page Mill.

Many if not most of you will be on Bob's NSA mailing list and will
hear by mail. But those of you in the region or with frequent
flier miles who aren't so notified should plan to join the
regulars, who usually include such luminaries as Franklin Flocks
and our Esteemed Moderator John B. (To mention but TWO luminaries.)

It's a very nice get-together, and there is usually some very innovative
3D presented.

So bring a few slides for projection (Realist or 2x2) and any equipment
you might want to show.

And Bob (who incidently is the chairfellow of Southern-Northern) says
he's fielding questions at 415-488-0458. You could also call me if
you'd like at 415-857-2968 (days).

It WAS Bob's slide--the subject came up awhile ago--of the young woman
seated on a tiger's tongue. I mention that in hopes that he brings
more of his own this time.

Let's fill the auditorium. (We are presently taking applications
for the Ortho Seat.)
