The set might be stationary, but the actors are not. It is really hard to get
them to stay still for a 15 to 20 second exposure. Also the depth of field
goes to perdition.
 
I like my realist. I am not that interested in slide bar, I have done that
before, and I have used twined rigs. I also can not cross eye view, I have been
free viewing (wall eyed) for over 20 years. I started on Holmes type sterio
cards with 3 inch plus centers. If I try and cross my eyes on a RL pair my
brain makes it look backwards. I have tried holding it close and moving it
back, however as soon as I focus the image inverts.
