Re: Stereocard sized print
#
#I'd like to take a few of my Realist format slides and make Stereocards for
#friends. I have some of the Q-Vu card mounts, but I am stymied for the moment
#about how to make the proper sized color prints from the Realist slides. The
#local custom lab wants about $20 per image. Can someone recommend something
#cheaper?

David:
I thought someone else would answer, but I haven't seen any, so I'll
chip in: I've never _intentionally_ asked for this to be done, but the
local grocery store (King Soopers) where I used to take all my Realist
film once did it for me. I had a roll of slides that were fairly over-
exposed, so they sent them back unmounted, with a note asking what I
wanted to do. I returned them with the instructions, "Do as many as
possible", meaning put anything with an image in a mount. They came
back with one 3.5x5 print of each slide, and they had also mounted
the slides!
Anyway, you might just check with your local grocery or drug store and
see if their lab can do it.
Another thought: Sunset Color Lab (L.A.?) advertises that they do
dupes of Realist format slides, so obviously they know what stereo
photos are. Perhaps they can also do prints from Realist mounted slides?
