Two finger synchronization
Once again, I'm thinking about trying some twin camera photography.
Is it reasonable to expect to get decent photos with twin
point-and-shoot camaras on a slide bar, just by trying to press the
shutters at the same time? Are there any inexpensive alternatives
that don't involve taking apart the cameras and playing with soldering
irons?
I know about Mike Watters' twin XA2's, but I'm not interested in the
XA2 ... not automatic enough. I also know about somebody's (sorry,
I've forgotten the name) twin Nikon Lite-Touch cameras, but as far as
I know, that's a "here are the instructions -- go buy some cameras and
do it" kind of deal. I just don't feel competent to do that.
While I'm very happy with my Realist slides, I have not been able to
lure any of my family or friends into the 3D world with them. I'm
thinking of twins so that I can make prints, which anyone can look at,
but I'll secretly mount them for a View-Magic viewer. ("Why do you
have two pictures of everything?" "Nyah-hah-hah! Funny you should
ask.")
Thanks.
