RE: How was stereo in the early '70's asks Dr. T?

Since I started in 1950, the '70s were sort of a blur. By then I had
been in
the Los Angeles area for 16 years after leaving NY-NJ area
(Westinghouse) in 1955. I do remember that I was busy buying up all
the Stereo Realist masks and glass I could get at bargain prices from
closing camera shops. When I went from Aerospace to the State of
Calif. (downtown LA) in 1965, there were 11 camera shops within
walking distance from my office at 1st & Broadway. When I retired in
1987 there was one left..in Little Tokyo!! I got stuff from any I
could including Minox film now frozen some years. About 20 years ago I
went to the 1st camera collector show and have been going ever since.
I was most happy when I shot ALL color as slide film in stereo and
shot all
b&w in my Leica and other cameras. Color neg got better and screwed up
my life..I wish all those prints in drawers had been stereo slides.
When I found my Busch F40 (Jules Richard) Verascope in a little
camera shop in an El Monte shopping center..I paid $300 for it..about
1975. He had TWO of them and I only got one. Oh, well! BobH
