Jon G. writes about RBT white/black halves:
#Certainly the white side is reflective of heat for projection purposes, and
#the black side offers greater isolation from light bleeding in a viewer, but
#does anybody have any other innovative ideas about how the black/white,
#all-black, all- white combinations can be used. If you come up with a good
#one, I'll send you a few complimentary RBT's in the size of your
#choice....and I would like to add that information to the users group mailer
#that will be going out in the spring to all that have requested before.
I've always mounted one half white / one half black, and thought that for
viewing, the black side should face the person viewing, while for projection,
the white side should face the lens. Obviously this requires you to either
re-mount, or use them in the less-than-optimal way.
So, how about mounting slides for viewing using both white halves, and
slides for hand viewers using both black halves? Since the optimum slides
for viewing and projection are different, why not mount them differently -
this also gives immediate indication of which slides are which as well!
I just thought of this, but might try it ...
