Re: Expo II

#
#How about splitting the expo into two boxes. Start the first one at
#the top of the mail-chain and the second one in the middle. That way
#the people at the end of the list won't have to wait so long to
#see something.

I thought about this, but the main drawbacks are that it requires twice
as many viewers (and postage from each participant, since cutting the
number of views in half doesn't cut the weight in half, and also the
international shipping costs go up dramatically.

Other than that I like the idea.

International folks - what would you think about getting a package of
views with no viewers? Would that be out of line? It would significantly
lower the international shipping costs, and keep expo costs down.

Elliott said that one-way shipping from US to Europe for Expo 1 was
about US$75 - OUCH! Obviously if we get a number of entrants from
diverse countries (i.e. 1 in England, 1 in Au, 1 in Brazil, etc)
this will be totally impractical, as the entry fees collected to help
defray international shipping will not begin to cover costs.

Thoughts, anyone? I don't want to penalize the non-US entrants, but
I also don't want to get stuck with expensive shipping bills for
volunteering to run this...
