Harold,
What a great idea to implore Leitz to resurrect the Stemar. I'd pay $1500 
in an instant for it, but I'd bet it would sell for at least $2500. At 
the time it was introduced, it sold for about the price of an M-3, so I 
expect it would sell today for the price of an M-6.

Have you tried cutting your frames in half and mounting in Nimslo-format 
mounts? Does this work?
