Not sure how you mean that, but if it helps to give you ideas, I once made
a tool for cleaning/opening VM reel pockets by filing the end of a feeler
gauge (gage!) to the shape of a VM chip. Feeler gauges are quite hard
but you can file them .... or use a carborundum stone.
