Wollensak lens replacement

Paul asked about setting a Wollensak lens set on a Revere. He mentioned the
film plane bottoms out...I can only hope he's just guessing. If the film
plane screws are adjusted, it's a bitch to realign them!!!
   There's a dealer who does this replacement, and he assures me it's fairly
easy--the only requirement is to plane some metal off the back of the lens
set. Logically, that should do it, but remember that it'll take a good
optical bench to finish off the conversion, unless you hope to test 3D
resolution of blurry images.

PS.....we just got in a MINT Wollensak (a real one!) with mint case, but the
shutter hangs up. PLus, we have a Wollensak lens and shutter
set, just in case anyone has some Christmas money left over!
