I am going through the family collecion of pictures and
I am so glad NO photos or slides (well, almost none) got
thrown away. 

Sure, Aunt Illie is fully out of focus in that photo, BUT 
LOOK AT THAT BACKGROUND, SIXTY YEARS AGO !!!

The street we lived in is not yet paved, the trees which
are now four stories tall are saplings, the house next 
door isn't there - there's a bunch of bushes of a type you
no longer see instead, and look at the hat on that lady 
that snuck in the background! The *horse* cart back there!

I'd keep only one of a bunch if they're practically the same,
but many things we now see as uninteresting  can become 
fascinating decades down the road. Throw away only with 
great discretion!
