My vote is for a single list.  We are already a thin-spread minority
of afficionados, hobbyists, and arcanists relegated to finding few
of our ken in what passes for the "real world" (Why does that camera
have two lenses? Because it takes two pictures.  Oh,...does it use two
rolls of film?)

Besides, I have already filtered my intake of stuff, selectively leaving
the arcane.  I read alt.theramin.huh? and have discontinued reading
WordPerfect's newsgroup alt.shift.control.F7 - especially after it was
taken over by Novell and put on a park bench with a sign saying "Please
buy this company." (Please don't!)

If all you want is to recieve the selected postings of your choice, you
could start your own mailing list, subscribe to it yourself, close off
the membership and read only your own postings.

I never read anything I haven't read before.
I never eat anything I haven't eaten before.
I don't want to hear anything I don't already know.

One list for all!
All for one list!
