Another way of looking at it would be to consider how many good shots result
per hour of shooting (or perhaps for every two hours, else the woodie would
yield zero).   If the same time and consideration is made for 35mm shots, then
I would wonder what's going on.

P.S. - The thing being unmentioned is that the subject matter for a 4x5 woodie with
       an hour setup is probably different than for 35mm photography. Like wondering
       why a cherry tree yields more good fruits than an Orange tree.
