NSA Convention

Hi folks! Yes, as Bob M. says, it's official. The 22nd annual
convention of the National Stereoscopic Ass'n will be held at the
Genesee Plaza Holiday Inn in downtown Rochester, NY. Some activities
(Stereo Theater, Trade Show) will be held in the Riverside Convention
Center across Main St. from the hotel. There's a covered walkway.
We held the first organizational meeting on Jan. 13 (with several
members of this list present) and among other business activities, I
volunteered to be the Registrar for the convention, so as soon as
registration forms have been created, I will be keeping track of all
registered attendees, making the name tags, banquet tickets etc.
If anyone wishes to get a jump on things you can send a SASE to me at
942 Gaywood Lane, Webster NY 14580 and as soon as registration forms
are available, you'll be the first on your block to get one!
Pre-registered is the way to go, as the manpower required to generate
all of the peripherals for on-site registrants really slows things up,
and I'm sure you'd rather be watching a slide presentation than
standing in a line waiting to register. NSA members will be receiving
registration forms with an upcoming Stereo World, I think, but if you
don't want to wait, send me that SASE. I will be posting further
details as I get them (or a week or so later, since I'm usually about
that far behind on any given task). BTW, our own Dick Twichell will be
coordinating the Stereo Theater, so I'm sure he will have some
interesting bits to post as the schedule develops.
Oh, yeah please keep the list format as is. I've been reading the list
for about two years now, and appreciate the exposure (bad pun not
intended but recognized) to various aspects of 3-D I hadn't seen
before. The single lens discussions come to mind as an example.

Regards,
Bill D.
