Why would someone make a movie when 10% of the people can't see the medium.? I ask myself that often when I hear about some violent or humanly debased movie. I just can't see taking myself to experience such slop. Everyone doesn't like everything. It's the wonder of this great big bright beautiful world. That the "masses" don't throng to 3D means the mega-corporations
won't trash the medium.
Just what does "serious" medium mean to you; For it's far more technical, complicated, demanding and an art than standard flat imaging. Do you mean "serious" like in how to use it to make oodles of money.
For whatever reason, I have a "passion" for 3D and enjoy doing something that the "masses" don't participate in.
A quarter of a century ago, most of us did not envision FAX machines, personal computers, or CD-ROMS or Internet. A quarter of a century from now 3D could be the common norm based upon a technology that we just can't fathom today. Enjoy being a pioneer. It's an opportunity. Think not of what isn't or seems that it can't be; strive for the impossible - if you only get 10% of the impossible, that's 10% more than before.
