Since Halogen bulbs produce light in a broader spectrum than normal bulbs, they may constitute a health risk, such as producing cataracts, etc. in the future.

Might be a problem with plastic lenses, but glass is relatively opaque to uv. Besides, we're talking about a 3 volt flashlight here ...
