Battery Corrosion
Perhaps I wasn't clear in my request earlier. I'm not looking for the step-by-step procedural "solution" for repairing a Model D viewmaster. I'm simply looking for the best liquid solution for abating and/or removing the corrosion from metal parts damaged by battery acid. Any takers?
Jeesh, I should have known you'd hold me hostage until I bought the book, George! Believe me, the check's going out today for not one - but ALL THREE of your viewer manuals. Maybe the name of the mysterious "compound" you mentioned will be in these guides. ;-)
The hood is up, screwdriver is in hand, and I'm ready to go to work. All I need is a helpful hint, perhaps something that works for others. Tarnex? Vinegar? Windex? Baking Soda & Water? Any chemists in the house? Thanks in advance!
