>>Realist sunshade/filter holders
I picked up a pair of these in Atlanta from Harry Poster. I bought them for the express purpose of attaching a double-exposure masking jig to the Realist, as specified in the Morgan and Lester book. Sorry to say, I haven't gotten around to making the acrylic jig yet, but I have the sunshades when the time comes!
These filter holders are hard to find when you're looking for them, and there were two types to choose from: one set clamps onto the lense barrels, the other set clamps onto the thumbwheels 'surrounding' the lense barrels. They are identical, as I recall, in the size of filter they accept and the amount of sun blocked. The latter seemed to be more secure, for obvious reasons.
Has anyone else experimented with masks and double exposures using this Realist set-up, ala Morgan & Lester, Tommy Thomas, et al? It looks fun...
Stephen
