How does a person come to choose painting instead of sculpting? Or oils
rather than watercolors? Or photography (flat or otherwise) to painting? Or
musical composition or performance to any of them?

I don't know that there is a clear answer to these questions of personal
preference, interest and talent, but I seriously doubt it has much to do
with the complexity of the endeavor.

I for one am greatful that different people choose many, many different
modes of expression... it makes the world a fascinating place!

It also sounds as if your personal stereo photos are carefully crafted with
a lot of imagination, expertese and talent I bet you've got some wonderful
shots to show for your efforts!
