Sorry to hear about you dissapointment with Cybershades... this kind of
input will save other unsuspecting buyers many dollars, and tons of
grief.

I received my 3-D Max Glasses a few weeks ago, and although I haven't had
much time to play with them I can tell you that the claim of "flicker
free" images is true. I'm very impressed with the quality of images and
lack of flicker as opposed to my old Haitex glasses for my Amiga.

I spoke with a representative of Kasan yesterday and by all indications they
are constantly trying to improve both the software and hardware. Right now their
biggest obstacle is trying to get this system to work with every video card
around... it doesn't appear to do so. It might be wise to check with them
or other users regarding video cards... before you invest in purchasing a new
card.

My Number Nine Motion 711 is pretty much a state-of-the-art card but for some
reason the 3-D Max tutorial or demo will not run in the 65K color mode... only
in the 256 color mode. I reported this to them.

Nevertheless... they are moving ahead, making improvements, producing more
CD's and trying to attract OEM's to build other programs and software using
their glasses. I'm sure in the coming months you will see these glasses starting
to pick up some momentum in the marketplace.

Be sure to check out the interlaced images on the 3-D Web... using this
type of headset.

Best Regards,

Bob Mannle
