Hi! I am a science teacher in Scottsdale Az. and I have been doing
stereo in my classroom since 1984 and stereo in general since 1980.
I have used stereo in chemistry, earth science and biology. I am
currently using the Bassett collection in my biology class. In a
couple of days I will be using my dino stereos for my earth science.
I am also doing stereo intereactive MRI volume visualization.
I do quite a bit of stereo video with my Toshiba as well as two
video camera work. As you can probably glean, I am in to stereo
quite heavily especailly in the scientific realm.I love astronomical
stereos. I have a great Black and white pair from Yerkes
observatory. Rotation does impart distortion but if you want stereo
of planets etc. you take what you can get. I have a Jupiter pair to
die for lol. Stereophotogrammetry and biostereometrics are of
special interests too. I also love doing stereomicrography as well
as stereo electronmicrography. I've done a bit of work with solids
modeled stereo too.
I do double camera 8 sprocket work and I don't mind the slightly
more depth that 110 mm gives. I like to draw in stereo using the
grids or two eye points.
In addition I love historical stereo and Civil war in particular.
My students love the dead soldiers in 3D.
If you have similar interests feel free to email. I'm always eager
to chat with fellow addicts :) Andrew Peters
