RE: Patrick..flash uneveness and Vivid Connector!

The easy part first...a Stereo Vivid has what amounts to a "tripod"
socket
thread next to the rewind knob on the top deck. Just in front of this
on a ledge below the top deck is an exposed electrical contact. The
flash gun for bulbs was a tubular affair that screwed down with the
threaded socket and contacted the exposed contact. So it is a very
unconventional setup for only their flashgun. It should be possible to
make a thumb screw and plate with a normal pc connection to fit over
this contact and connect to it by an extension to hot conductor of the
pc socket?? Then normal pc cords could be used with an L bracket.
I do not see the uneveness of the flash being due to flash head
location.
Dark corners could be flash coverage, but most flashes cover the
moderate wide angle as well as normal lens. Ill fitting lens shade
cuts corners sharply so one would have to look at the light pattern.
