Nishika question for ye all!

Pardon my ignorance, but I have passed over all the talk about the Nishika
debacle, as I am not, and never have been involved with the cameras, until
today when a friend called and told me he has a Nishika...and wants to know
if he can use it.

Since Nishika does not process film anymore, does any entity carry the
torch....is the camera useless....or like the Nimslo....does it generate a
half-frame image that can be mounted in a Realist ultra close-up mount.

As usual....I appreciate the collective sage advice of all of you.
