Thanks to Paul S. Boyer's for an interesting analysis on this subject.

The popularity of video is bringing part of this back... Invite friends to
see hours of (wedding, vacation, newborn, whaterver) video on TV.  The only
problem:  It's hard to fall asleep unoticed since the lights are usually on.

Having my own thoughts and theories on the subject, I would be very
