I have never seen or heard of such a description EXCEPT that
1)Kodachrome
used to be varnished with a protective lacquer that did have a
visibility if
viewed as a surface in a slanted light. When Kodak got dust in this
stuff we used to call it "bullets" as we had to dig them out if
possible. OR 2) there has been anti-Newton ring glass, which could in
later years got into stereo glass as well. This has a well defined
pattern.
 I consider Kodachrome 25 as the only suitable stereo film, but have
out of necessity used 64 and even 200. It is hard to make a film with
the dye couplers embedded to match any Kodachrome..but the newer films
seem to have come close. I never found an Ektachrome I could
stand..but have shot a test roll of Lumiere and Velvia.. BobH
