Hi,
The WRAY STEREOGRAPHIC was my first camera I bought a few years ago at
Jessop's in London (British Museum). The (only) speed is 1/50 sec. So look
out for overexposed pictures. Another particularity is that it has the two
lenses pre-focussed at different distances. They called it dephtmaster and
it's simple and ingenious. One lens on close-middle and one to
middle-infinity. So each picture has an sharp and a unsharp part. Looking at
both at ther same time gives a sharp picture overall. At he time I didn't
know that and took the camera appart for what I tought was malfunction and
eventually bought a KODAK. Later when I found out, I put it togeather again.
I still havent't figured out how many shims it had under each lensbarrel
inititially, since I didn't wrote it down when I took it apart. I just
guessed and adjusted them with a ground glass.
I use several more advanced camera's now. But the WRAY really *is* point and
shoot *and* extremely lightweight.
The US version had a hotshoe and the UK clone a PC connection.
Actually, I made my "entry" on this list with the question : "I have a
dismanteled WRAY................."
Patrick.
