Re Discview



I also had the idea of combining disc cameras with the realist type viewer
sometime ago but it seemed to difficult to modify the cameras and film
packs to take two pictures simultaneously. They take as I remember 15 shots
as opposed to fourteen I.E 7 stereo pairs and are only available in colour
negative ,I did wonder about copying from one disc to another to produce
the reversal. The  discs dont slot in the top of a viewmaster but if the
back and andvancing disc are removed they do fit quite well with the
ciculat part that the advancing disc fits into. As to the need to transpose
and reverse the views left to right and top to bottom it seems to me that
provided the viewer presents the views rotated 180 degrees from the
positions they were taken in  the camera that should do it.
Viewmasters do this anyway by advancing two frames at a time so that the
views are not seen upside down back to front and pseudoscopic ( Presumably
the Viewmaster projector worked the opposite way).     P.J.Homer
