Just saw some interesting 3-d photos in the Sept. '95 issue of Model Railroader,
page 64. They were by Ben King of his HO gauge train layout. He used a camera
shift of 1/32 inch between the photos (the distance between the eyes of an "HO
gauge person"), so the photos looked like real life-sized trains!
Has anyone ever thought about or tried to build an opaque projector which would
project stereo cards in stereo? (other than cutting the cards in half and
putting each in a separate opaque projector with polarizing filters). Are the
lenses for these things too expensive to make it worth while? Or maybe it would
be easier to make 35mm closeups of each side of the card and mount them in
Realist format. Anyone tried that?
