Stereo Card Specifications

I would like to start doing some work with stereo cards and would like to
get some technical specifications on them. Could someone please tell me if
there is a standard dimension for; Infinity Point Separation
(center-to-center spacing) and Maximum "on film" parallax. Ferwerda
indicates 8cm as being the value, is this generally the case? Also, if I
wanted to properly scale images captured on 35mm film to a view card format,
what scale factor should I use?
What would be the relationship between film format (35mm, medium format,
digital capture, etc.) and the final print size? And finally, is it safe to
say the lens focal length used in a stereo card viewer is the scaled ratio of
the image size? Meaning, an image captured on 35mm film with a 50mm focal
length lens should be viewed with a 50mm focal length eyepiece, therefore an
image scaled up to 3 times its original size should be viewed with an
eyepiece that is 150mm focal length. Am I OK with this?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

PS: By the way, Dr. George didn't do so well in our club competition
tonight. Was it an honorable mention or third place? Your slipping George,
we really look forward to your 1st place entries, knock our socks off next
month with some good hyper images!
