Holmes format prints from Realist format slides

Several people have discussed getting Holmes format prints from Realist 
format slides. Most say you need to find an expensive custom processing 
place to do the job.

Recently, I went to my local, full-service camera store, and they are 
sending them to Kodak to do at a cost of $1.49 per print.  Of course 
this is not cheap, but it is not greatly out of line with the cost of 
regular 35 mm slides to 3-1/2" x 5" prints.  They said it will
take 8 or 9 days to complete the order.  I have not seen the results 
yet, but I will let you know if it is not professional.

The clerk in the local camera store was not very knowledgeable though.  
He thought it not worthwhile to do both frames of the stereo slide 
because, "they are both the same."  I think I convinced him 
differently, though.
