Now that the hole has been found, just in FRONT of the Realist release
button, you should know that it uses the American or little known
straight thread and not a tapered thread that is the Compur cable
release socket.
Kodak made both at one time in cable releases.
The GERMAN chrome self timers that fit on the end of a cable release
were in the pre-war versions often sold under the name "AutoKnips".
There were probably postwar versions under the Hamma or other mail
order German catalog company trade marks. Polaroid has one too, but an
odd fitting for going over their button. BobH
