The Widescreen Centre puts out a Stereo newsletter around four times a year.
In the Spring 96 issue there is a picture showing them installing their new
computerised 3D printer.
The short piece accompanying the photo says :
-------------------------------------
Inaugurating a new era in consumer three-dimensional DIRECT VIEW photography.
The Widescreen Centre installs Britain's first computerised 3-D printer for
consumer prints.
No longer is it necessary to send your precious stereoscopic prints abroad for
processing and printing. As from this issue of STEREO NEWS it will be possible
to have your prints processed in the U.K.
The system uses an advanced design leaning heavily on computerisation, and is
capable of producing DIRECT VIEW lenticulated 3-D prints from either 3 or
4-frame negatives.
The address for processing of your 3-D prints is: The Widescreen Centre,
18, Lady Bay Rd, West Bridgford, Notts NG2 5BJ
-------------------------------------
The Widescreen Centre must be quite confident in the future for lenticular
prints to make that sort of investment. They used to send the prints to
Holland prior to installing this new printer.
By the way - their price list includes quite a range of new Stereo items, from
cheap red/blue glasses up to full FED camera/projector kits. There are five
cameras for lenticular prints.
For UK readers, the Widescreen Centre is on 0115-945 5459 or
ac01@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
