I have a pair of Ricohflex's that I am slowly working toward
using for twin stereo (they aren't for sale). I like them a lot
for a few reasons:

They are quite narrow. You can get a lens spacing of about 3.25"
which should allow for fairly closeups. If you could figure out
how to get rid of the advance knob you could be down to about
2.75". If I could learn to diverge my eyes just a bit more I
could freeview the images in the two ground glasses!

They are light: They are all metal but it is fairly thin sheet
metal (mostly) so a pair of them on a slide bar won't even
weigh as much as Joel's (single) Pentax 67 :)

The lenses seem fairly good: 3 elements, two in front of the
shutter and one behind. My Model VII has 4 of the 6 surfaces
coated (if I recall correctly). These aren't Rollei Tessars
but probably better than Sputnik lenses (coating-wise for
sure).

They are very simple so not much to go wrong (knock wood):
no bellows like Yashicamats and Mamiyas to get light leaks.
Any irregular frame spacing is your own fault since you use
a window on the back to stop at the correct spot.

If anyone wants details from me just email me privately.
