I agree bout the hyperstereo effect but not about the lenses when the
slides are judged in projection. Lens' sharpness and film grain are not
as important for projected slides as they are for a viewer.
One of my accepted slides in the Oakland PSA competition was a picture of a
tiger. This was originally shot with twin SLRs but was duplicated and
enlarged about two times. If you look at the slide in a viewer you will
not believe how bad it looks with grain, lack of sharpness/resolution and
false pink color due to lack of filtration in duplication. And yet this
slide projects beautifully.
