Just to keep the record straight..the Bantam format 28mmx40mm has one
perforation per frame for the claw to stop it at each picture taking.
Otherwise it is wider because only perforated on one side.
My general feeling is that in stereo format only defines a window
shape to see a real life scene and this is a lot different that the
framing of a two dimensioonal picture. I also am not talking
projection but direct viewing.
At non optimum positions in an audience the screen tends to be a frame
in a field of blackness and spoils the stereo if if does't fill the
field of view. e.g. the "3d lifelike effect of Cinerama that is 2-d
from filling the visual field of both eyes." BobH
