A Few nights ago something caught my attention on a local cable TV
show called Mysteries of the universe. Several noted astronomers were
giving there opinions on among many things dark matter. one of them
and I cant remember his name, stated that we know dark matter exists
in several galaxies because the gravitational field surrounding it acts
as a lens and bends light, and that this is evident because astronomers
have observed multiple images of the same back ground stars.

If this is so is there possibility for a stereo pair given that the view
separation is measured in galaxies or are there things going on here that a
layman like myself just doesn't understand.
