Re: Vincent Macek seeks help finding a processor of Kodachrome
accessible in his SE US location.
If you are seeking a place that processes it on-site, my understanding
is you have a formidable task ahead of you; there is an extremely limited
number of Kodak licensees for the K-14 process. For most people the only
option is Kodalux, though there are mutliple outlets for their services
(pre-paid mailers; drop off at retail outlets such as drug stores, camera
shops, grocery stores, discount chains; drop off/pick up at one of their
plants if you live close enough).
We have a place here that will process 36 exp Kodachrome for $3.19. The
clerk insisted it is done at their plant in San Antonio, despite my
skepticism ("they took us on a tour!" she said). I have not shot a roll
of Kodachrome in many years, but I might have to run one through my SLR
and see if they come back from this place in Kodalux mounts, just to
satisfy my curiosity! Again, if anyone wants to stretch their 3D budget
a little farther by taking advantage of these low prices when they need
several rolls (K-14 or E-6) done at the same time, feel free to contact
me. mailto:ptww@xxxxxxx
