hi
now that you have all that experience, what camera would you recommend to
an experienced photographer (me) who works in 35mm, 6x6, 4x5, in B&W
negs/prints and color slides (not color prints from negs, so far) and has
done casual "foot shuffle" method SLR stereo for years, without even
mounting the slides as pairs.
My problem is that i wear glasses, and i have been told that the Realist
and its viewers have very limited eye relief. I would probably continue
with slide-bar SLR (or even slide bar 6x6) except that you seem to be an
unusually valuable resource of first hand experience that i don't want to
pass up.
I'd like to end up with something with good enough lenses that i can make
8x10 prints for cross-eyed free viewing, and slides for use in a viewer
or even (way in the future) projection. My optical standards are
reasonably high (Nikons, Leica, Rollei SL66, Schneider view lenses) but
my budget is limited (gee-how unusual).
Where in the Philadelphia area (i live in center city) is the best place
to find stereo photo gear?
If you have a few spare moments to answer these questions i would very
much appreciate it.
thanks,
ted gosfield
