NSA Convention Info
- From: bd3d@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (William Davis )
- Subject: NSA Convention Info
- Date: Mon, 11 Mar 1996 20:39:14 -0800
Hi to all,
I sent the last of the three registration/application forms out to the
printer this morning. Here is the latest update on the NSA Convention,
from the info provided to me for inclusion on those forms:
--------------------------------SAVE THIS------------------------------
NSA CONVENTION '96
Dates: August 1-5, 1996
Place: Rochester, NY
HQ Hotel: Holiday Inn Genesee Plaza, 120 East Main St., Rochester, NY
14604. There is a large block of rooms reserved, but these are
expected to sell out, so reserve early. Room rates for this block are
$82, single or double.
Costs: Three-day Registration, including admission to the Stereo
Theater, Workshops, Trade Fair and Exhibits...$20.00 ($30.00 after July
26, 1996)
Awards Banquet, Sat. Night ....$19.00, with choice of Chicken
Piccata, London Broil or Vegetarian Eggplant Parmesan.
President's Breakfast, Sun. Morn....$9.75
Early Bird Admission to the Trade Fair Sat.8:00 AM, (1 hour earlier
than unlucky general public)...$20.00
Bus Tour Monday to Letchworth State Park (known in some circles as
"The Grand Canyon of the East") Photo Op/Nature Tour....$26.00 (lunch
not included but there are several options, I'm told.
An important thing for non-NSA members to note is that these prices are
the same whether you're a member of NSA or not. Good Deal!
NSA members will be receiving application/registration forms with the
next Stereo World, which should start arriving around the end of this
month or so. Any non-members can send a SASE directly to me at:
NSA '96, 92 Gaywood Lane, Webster NY 14580
and I'll send out a packet. To those who responded to my earlier post,
you will be receiving your packets within days. The first on your
blocks, just like I promised!
Remember that we would like to pre-register as many as possible, since
the hassles involved with on-site registration tend to stretch out the
time factor, creating long lines of irritated stereo buffs who would
rather be in the air-conditioned theater being transported to far away
lands through the magic of stereography. Or something like that.
Anyway, it works a lot better if you pre-register.
If anyone is interested, I can post the particulars about Trade Show
Table rentals or Advertising Rates for the Official Program that all
attendees will receive.
I've probably left something out, so I may be posting again, but this
pretty well encompasses what I have direct knowledge of regarding the
Convention.
Regards,
Bill Davis Webster NY (North shore of the US)
