NSA Convention Info

Recent posts have requested an update on the NSA Convention schedule.  
There is a lot I DON'T KNOW at this point, like the Stereo Theater 
schedule (don't know if there will be any naked human or Southwest 
shots, for instance), workshop titles, or guest speaker (banquet).  We 
should be holding another organizational meeting soon, after which I 
will be more informed. There is really not much new since last month, 
but for those who missed my earlier posts, here's the scoop:

NATIONAL STEREOSCOPIC ASSOCIATION CONVENTION '96
Dates:  August 1-5, 1996
Place: Rochester, NY

Costs:
Three-day Registration, including admission to the Stereo
Theater, Workshops, Trade Fair and Exhibits...$20.00 ($30.00 after July
26, 1996)

Awards Banquet, Sat. Night, with choice of Chicken
Piccata, London Broil or Vegetarian Eggplant Parmesan. ....$19.00

President's Breakfast, Sun. Morn....$9.75

Early Bird Admission to the Trade Fair Sat.8:00 AM, (1 hour earlier
than unlucky general public)...$20.00

Bus Tour Monday to Letchworth State Park (known in some circles as
"The Grand Canyon of the East")  Photo Op/Nature Tour....$26.00 (lunch
not included but there are several options, I'm told).

An important thing for non-NSA members to note is that these prices are
the same whether you're a member of NSA or not.  Good Deal!

NSA members will be receiving application/registration forms with the
next Stereo World, which should start arriving sometime in April. Any 
non-members can send a SASE directly to me at:

and I'll send out a packet.

Remember that they would like to pre-register as many as possible!  
Pre-registered is the way to go, as the manpower required to generate
all of the peripherals (badges, stickers, packets, etc.) on-site for 
registrants really slows things up, and I know that I would much rather 
be watching a slide presentation than standing in a line waiting to 
register. 

Particulars regarding this year's TRADE SHOW at the NSA Convention:

Dates: August 3 and 4, 1996 (Saturday and Sunday)
Schedule:
    Friday August 2nd, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM  Drop off only- NO TRADING

    Saturday August 3rd  7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Dealer setup
                         8:00 AM  Early Bird Admission
                         9:00 AM to 5:00 PM  Open to the Public
    Sunday August 4th    10:00 AM to 5:00 PM  Open to Dealers and the
                       Public

Rates:  One 8-foot Table (Includes ONE three-day registration to NSA
        Convention)....$70.00

        Extra Table (Each extra table also includes one three-day
        registration to the Convention)...$50.00

        Electrical outlet....(Additional charge)..$10.00

I will be sending Trade Fair Applications out along with Convention
Registration Forms to all who respond to my posts.  There will also be 
an Advertising Order Form included.  Details as follows:

NSA is offering advertising space in the printed program that each
attendee of the Convention will receive.  It looks like the program
will be a folded 8.5 x 11 format.
Rates for various ad sizes are as follows:
        7 1/2"H x 4 5/8"W....$100.00
        3 5/8"H x 4 5/8"W....$50.00
        3 5/8"H x 2 3/16"W....$25.00
        1 11/16"H x 2 3/16"W...$12.00
All ads must be supplied with the order form in camera-ready form. Ads 
will be printed with black or dark ink on white paper, and may be 
modified to suit program layout and design.
